the acoustic or electric debate

I finished putting the last string on my strat and played some of the new songs on it to get a sense of which ones will work electric and which sound better acoustic. They're all going to have the acoustic as the central point but we'll see where they go once they start taking on lives of their own as recordings.

Ok, so i failed to complete the RPM challenge back in February but it wasn't for not not trying. Many things that added up to 5 incomplete songs...better than nothing. It was a good experience all in all.
Moving on...finding a slightly new direction and a new voice on the guitar manifesting in 5-6 even newer songs. Still working out lyrics and some minor arrangement details with the music has brought me closer to an EP's worth of material. With a constant fire under my slacker ass being fervently stoked by my ever encouraging brother the hope is to have them recorded for a winter release. Just in time to fill yours and your friends stockings.
Also trying to move this thing along by adding a web page powered by google (is there anything those guys DON'T do??) It took much time and thought to come up with a URL that was fitting but that hadn't already been taken. Over the years I've had many comments about people getting 'lost' in my guitar playing so, in a play on words: blurring Will is what i went for.

Yep still behind with recording but another song recorded. Working title.."Traveling Song For Death". A little bit of bluegrass-goth-surf. LOL I'll make up the time through the week...

AAAARRRGGGG!!!!

UGH!! I am so far behind with songs its not funny. Learning to use my 4track at the same time is for the birds! Maybe tonight will be productive...

thursday hijinx

Got off to a promising start last night recording...till the batteries on my 4track died UGH!! (And no I don't have a power supply...I have rechargables for it. They're the ones that died.) Quick trip to the store and I was back in business. PHEW!! A little behind as I only was able to work on one song. I just have the vocals and bass left(for which I'm borrowing jims beatle bass). Vocals would have been sketchy anyways ans my voice is still a little hoarse from the flippin cold I've had.
And what a great time to leave that comment marie...WINK!
